I think I'm going to get a 180 gal. tank. I love peacock bass and was wondering how many I could fit in there. If anyone has a 180 gallon peacock bass aquarium i'd love to see pictures. Thanks.

Post in the pbass section, you will get more pbass experts there... Thats all I can say.. :) sorry for my lack of knowledge on the subject haha

it depends on what kind of pbass you would get for it, tems get up around 30" and one would be too big for a 180. but i would say 3-4 of the smaller pbass would be alright so long as you kept up on water changes. but ive never kept pbass im just researching the subject to possibly get 2-3 tems.

orino's and mono's... stay away from tem's they can get about 30lbs in the wild... not sure on the lenth though, but sure thats too big for a 180;)

The record temensis was 37 kilograms, and about 48". These guys get huge in the wild. The smaller growing species is all of the other species of peacock bass to tell you the truth. Monos and occels are the most common and best choice for your tank though.

Where did you get that information? According to this the world record all-tackle catch is 27 lbs. I'm not trying to be a prick. I just think that claims like that need some backing up.

i believe intermedia are the smallest sp. but not that easy to get your hands on
