Pbass and GT

do pbass and GT get along?

both juvies @ 4-5"

i have absolutely no experience, anyone?

any input would be great!

random chinese fish store just got 2 pbass....and they go quick!

unfortunately, it has already been done......

acclimated and in.....and the GT is totally bossing around the pbass.....

GT is a male, and the pbass looks to be a female......so i am thinking
that could help with the aggression.....

size wise - the pbass is a tad longer, but girth easily goes to the GT...

i am hoping for the best...can't imagine the GT becoming lunch anytime soon.....

anyone else ever done this? as i watch my tank though...pbass is totally shying awaying from the GT displaying.....

yeah.....probably due to new tank shock....but hopefully the beginning of a freindly relationship...

It doesn't work because young pbass aren't aggressive to other species of fish. They're only aggressive to their own kind over territory at that point. No way you can tell whether the pbass is female already, too small. You run a high risk of your GT beating your pbass to death.

Them shying away is not "tank shock" that's how they deal with confrontation from other fish when younger..

well, although it may be too early to tell the future.....wayyyyy too early....

after 2-3 hours of living together - peace reigns in the tank - they get reallly close to each other, sniff each other out, but that is it.....

perhaps early signs of a freindship.....

ill post again about what is going on in a week or two......
