pbass and substrate

I have a 12 inch pbass with very nice coloring. I had it with black substrate and the colors were very bright. The new tank i moved him to has white gravel and the pbass looks all washed out of color. Water params are great so the only thing i can think of thats different from the other tank is the substrate. could this be the problem? Do all fish have that problem?

darker gravel is better for any fish

more than likely its the white substrate.

yes a fishs colors would fade a little with white subsrtate cause it helps them to blend in.

Oooooo ok thanks guys. thats wat i thought just wanted to make sure cuz the colors dont look good at all anymore just looks pale. Ill put some dark substrate in there asap cuz i cant stand looking at it all pale.

if ya just moved him, he is probally stressed the hell out..Give him some time..

i like my white gravel and p bass.
white gravel was costly lol
soon they will be over brown,cant afford white for there new tank.
