I have a pr. of motoros about 6in disc. They are in a 240.Just want to know if pbass and tigs make good tankmates. What do raykeepers think?

i have seen them together on this site and they seem to do well, havent tried it myself tho.

I thibk they would be OK with the tig, but i don't know too much about Pbasses. With these fish i think it will depend more on the individual fishes personality. Aggressive or placid?

Carl.

Many people have kept this combo successfully. The only reason I wouldn't do it is because Pbass are such voracious eaters it makes it a more difficult task to get food to the rays and Tig. I have kept Rays with Tigs and Pbass without problems. The rays would sometimes harass the tig by blanketing him but never any damage.

I kept a 15" B. Juruense (false tigrinis) with an 8" ray and 8" peacock nass w/o any problems. IMO if a ray is healthy he/she is just as voracious of an eater as the Pbass!

Its hard to trust Peacockbass.. specially in groups. They have mauled arowanas, tigrinus
etc . . I would do it .. with caution.

I second that. While I've kept this combination of fish together, I would make sure that the rays and tig are sizeable enough as to not look like something for pbass to pick on.

as long as the tigrinus is bigger than the rays it should be fine

my tigrinus never has a tail streamer and as soon as it grows back the rays eat it again but never had any other damage

im not sure about the p.bass as i have never kept them
