just thought i would share my excitement. Not only are my new Pbass eating frozen/dry food they are eating it off the bottom of the tank:D they are pigs I was worried they would never touch anything but live :woot: :clap :headbang2

On a side note I am almost completely sure what my LFS ordered in as temensis are not temensis:( but I only paid 9 dollars a piece for them so I guess it was too good to be true I have fell in love with them no matter which species they are :)

Nice... sounds like my baby pbass. They are eating machines. Sux that they are not temensis. I know how you feel though. I just ordered some 'temensis' from TFD that ended up being monos. You'll be able to tell whether or not they're tems easy. Tems have one long, horizantal stripe down there sides as opposed to a series of vertical ones. Sweet pickup though either way.

Yup no stripe...... but like I said I am over it I love them anyway. I bought 3 at one place and 1 at another I am hoping to get 2 species at least but only time will tell. The one I purchased separate appears to have a VERY red eye and the other 3 have more gold eyes so I have high hopes

Ya Seems most of us are or were looking for Tems.. I am completely in love with Larry, Curly and Mo though.. The were 45 for the 3 Of them.. Not Tems..

Good stuff :)

Don't overfeed your pellets! I had a 5" die from overchugging on pellets. They swelled in his belly and damaged his swim bladder.

I will watch out for that but I feed very small pellets ( new life) and with a dozen schooling giant danios the food doesn't sit on the bottom for long LOL. I also feed them Beefheart plus, frozen bloodworms, dried krill, and dried plankton. They don't seem very interested in the krill or plankton.
Their favorite food is still guppies and I am sure that will never change:WHOA: :naughty:
