is it true pbass could breed aroudn 3 inches. i read it on one of the posts on here not sure.

Not very likely unless they are seriously stunted.

The females get sexually mature at 12 months or less.

The growth rate I've observed is about an inch a month in a tank on average. They can grow faster in the wild where food is abundant.

So far, the smallest I've seen breeding was a 10 inch Ocellaris.

Just curious guys I have never looked into or even thought about breeding P-Bass, but what size tank is required to pull this off? I would think they would need quite a bit of space. Seems to me that one would most defiantly have to commit at least a 100 gallon to the pair with no other fish in it.

Unless it's a very young pair a 100g would be no way near.

I would put my guess in for a pair at more like 300g odd.

There is no way they will breed at 3 inch.

They need atleast 1 year of maturity before they can breed.

You can breed them in a 180g. Its been done before.
