Pbass cheek markings, when do they get them?

Just curious as to what size pbass are when they start showing their cheek markings?

My orinos got them at about 7".

mine from rapps had them when i first got them......so about 3.5-4 inches

My tems and occell have always had them. Not sure if they're just stress indicators though..

Not all cichla get cheek markings, where you wanting to know for a particular sp?

They're definetly most prominent with orinos. My guys really started to show them at around 7". Its been sweet dreams ever since!

I guess more temensis I was curious about, or all species in my sig. at that matter...
