Can you post a pic?
Also post your water parameters?

Ive heard of this. I hear its due to poor water quality. I dont know if it can be cleared up but I know to prevent it you need to do your water changes. I do 25% about every week and a half, some would recommend doing it even more than that.

water changes, water changes & more water changes may clear it up..
any fish and not just cichla are susceptible to cloudy eyes..
the best way to prevent it is to stay on top of your water condition..
i change my water religiously every week (25-30%) resulting in great growth, colour and healthy fish..

I listened to a lecture from Ron Coleman from Cal State U, also cichlidresearch.com and he said 9 of 10 times cloudy eyes come fighting between fish in tanks. Fish attack each others eyes first, so that could be a possibility.

be careful with that bro. i had a 8 inch lower amazonas that had coudy eye and when it healed it had a sall pupil looking eye.. it was due to a large water change

Add some salt ands some melafix and raise the temp..should work and do water changes every so often

How long have you had them?

had them about 8 months now - all are around 6-7" -

had a sick rtc in the tank that unfortunately died - tried the melafix and salt thing - may have worked a little but after a week not much noticeable difference - been doing water changes
