we have had a lot of rain lately so i walk into the livingroom and hear water splashing on the floor (i thought the roof was leaking) :WHOA:

so i have a DIY pvc overflow for my tank
worked great until my pbass decided he likes the way it fells sucking on his side
so he swims up against it blocking the flow the tank overflows (only about 5 gallons) i have lowered the waterlevel so it wont overflow but he keeps doing it

i am making a screen to keep him away

Oh he's fine
He’s big enough not to get sucked in
Flow is 800-900 gph and spread over a 2" diameter so he can easily pull lose
He was just screwing off

Haha sorry bout the spill, but you have to admit, you have one crazy pbass

That is funny as hell but it sucks!

use a piece of pvc drill holes in it. I would empty the tank and glue it.

yea u probably could make a fence around it! thats wat i did for my red eared slider!(he got his foot sucked into the pump! then i put a gaurd and he stuck is foot to that!:screwy: ) so i made a fence out of a cardboard like plastic! works nicely!

this behavior is also shown by octopuses at aquariums.... they plug the flow with there tenticle so the alarm will go off about the overflowing and workers will run in and give him attention...

may be the pbass just wants to see u or be fed :)
