PBASS--FLORIDA GAR

I just pickd up a florida gar, about the same size as my peacock bass and my larger orino seems to want to be a bully all of a sudden to everyone. usually they chase each other around the tank and such but the last couple of days he is a little more angry? any thoughts

lol you disturbed his home lol.. if you ask me it sounds like an orino being an orino.. lol they are the meanest of them all IMO

I agree.. I would be very careful with gars and larger pbass. Gars bodies are fragile compared to cichlids, especially cichla. I have a 12" FL gar in my 450g with my bigger pbass.. I am scared every time I feed them. I always to try let the pbass get their food before I try feeding the gar... I also have a 30" gar in there that is still somewhat skittish when the pbass make a really fast movement, but I am less worried about.. You need to worry about them breaking their backs due to quick movements.

yeah i figured it was the new addition, the funny part is the orino isnt even the biggest fish in the tank he just seems to think he is... the gar seems to be ok he kinds his business, he lays on the rocks or stays up in the floating plants. I havent seen any serious aggression towards the gar just some small nips at him, the orino is being more mean to the rest of the fish including the other orino...
