When I feed my fish I take one of the lids off. I then take the food and stand back about 3 feet and toss the food into the water. The PBass actually see it leave my hand and know approximately where it is going to land in the water and about the time that it will hit. The opening is 2x4 so it isn't luck.

All of the other fish have no clue that I am actually throwing food. The PBass see it and know that it is headed their way and approximately where it is going to land. That is a pretty good as far as spatial relationships are concerned.

Are there any other species that do this?

prob not because CICHLA RULE! and there smart

i got one of those airhog indoor r/c helicopters and if i get whithin 5ft of the tank with it flying in the air my pbass and silver aro go nuts chasing it like its food. good times!
