Been having some construction done on my house. My pbass aquired about a 10mm scratch due to the loud noise on the outside of the house. Will it scar permanently, and any suggestions on healing, or how to keep my fish calmer? I also have a silver aro which I am worried about. I took my water level down a bit, any other suggestions would be great!

Raise the temp, add some salt, and maybe med's and you will be good! I use Melafix and Pimafix.

studd is right.. melafix and/or pimafix. 86 degrees, an airstone and some salt will help him heal.

as for keeping them calm with loud noises and vibrations in the house all you can really do is remove any sharp objects inside the tank and turn out the lights in the aquarium.

Ohh and make sure your tank is well oxygenated because of the heat and med's.

Thanks will do. Will my pleco and giraffe cat get to stressed if I remove objects, mainly all I have is a bubble tube the length of the tank and 2 short in heighth pieces of wood for their hiding spots?

All my tanks have bubble tubes the whole length, thanks for the heads up on the heat, does the higher temp reduce scarring?

i don't know about reducing scaring but it does help them heal faster. as does the salt and the pimafix.
