Well today i bought my first Pbass at 1.5 inches.
i'm very proud of my purchase even at this size it looks like a monster.
my questions are,
What would be a good food for best growth rate?
And are they quick growers or slow?
any info would help.
really want to get him into the 180g as soon as he dosn't look like a snack.
thanks.

feed feeders for best growth and they are fastest growers, they can grow 12 inches in one year.

Feeders will give you the fastest growth but I feel like pellets and krill will get you the best color development. Growth depends on the fish and species. There are a lot of runts running around these days. Generally, I'd say 1"/mo is a fair estimate.

make sure you have good filtration, airstone and temp @ 87.

Pellets do help bring out their color....but it may be sometime tell he's eatn pellets. Id start w/ guppies then live blackworms by week 2 or 3. Then frzn bloodworms. Then once it takes the bloodworms start crushn pellets into them so it gets a taste for pellets.
