Im looking to set up a Pbass tank after a couple year break. I want to set up a 300 gallon short tank (96x30x24) along the lines of what R1 Ridah (may he rest in peace) had. I plan to set up at least one wet dry filter with a large sump (or possibly two with two smaller sumps) plus as much other filtration as I can fit (maybe some canisters, a uv, etc). I would like to put in a large black aro, a tigrinis cat, maybe another type of catfish, and various peacocks of different types (1 azul, a mono or two, kelberi, ocellaris, etc). I have not had a tank here in Los Angeles for a number of years (although I had a Pbass tank a few years ago in Chicago) so I am not familiar with the different LFS and other resources. I would love some suggestions on good places to get a 300g short acrylic tank, a really nice stand and canopy, advice on setup, decor, and good quality large fish. I probably won't move forward for a couple months as I owe a large chunk of change to Uncle Sam and want to make sure I get that squared away first, but I wanted to start looking into it. I will have a budget but I don't mind paying up for really spectacular fish and I want to make sure the setup is done right and looks sharp enough that my wife won't mind it taking up most of the dining room. I welcome all suggestions. Thanks for the help.

Not from LA, but I've gotten most of my cichla from REPUTABLE online vendors. Ie Jeff Rapps, Snookn21. Dont really trust things from LFS around here.
