Pea Puffer tank

How many Pea/Dwarf Puffers in a 20 gallon tank, only reach an inch Max
i was thinking 3 or 4 in a pretty heavily planted tank
can i do it in straight freshwater or slightly brackish

straight fresh. brackish will kill them. in a twenty, you could probably go with 5 or 6, maybe a few more.

yup in a 20 gallon you can go with about 6 pea puffers

Only Freshwater. And I don't know what those people are thinking by suggesting 5 or 6 for a 20, I've had aggression issues with just two in a 10G. So, I'd suggest AT MINIMUN 5 Gallons Per Puffer.

Oh yeah, and I keep my Dwarf Puffer with 9 Neon Tetras, 1 Pleco, 2 Un-ID'd catfish, 2 Cories, a Kuhli Loach, and 5 Zebra Danios. Be aware, however, that not all puffers will tolerate tankmates, and Dwarf Puffers are not very nice puffers.
