im wondering what are some other peaceful geos? i have jurupari and a brasilinesis(yes i know become aggressive but will eventually go in a different tank or be sold). so what would be a nice calm species that will get along with my jurupari

The Geo. surinamensis group is generally peaceful, not as much as Satanoperca though

the gymnogeophagus sp catalan are quite peaceful even when breeding. they pair off and will defend their eggs. but even still the pair don't harass the other tank mates too much

Just about anything other than your Brasi.

Although my Tapajos II can have a very aggressive streak from time to time.

There will always be the occasional chases and fin nipping with geophagus conspecifics. I would suggest some type of dithers along with a tank full of geos. Then the aggro will be little or nothing.

While my Altifrons and Heckelii can both show mean 'streaks', ramming, chasing, I have never once seen them do any damage to each other. All show, no real go, which is what I like.

Really peaceful Geophagus I'd look into are Rio Pindare and the smaller species, other than that, they're all going to be relatively the same temperament.
