out of curiosity i would like to start a list of usually very peacefull fish that are 12+", please add to it.

ehhh.... oscar n larger pleco r definitely not so peaceful xD

indo tarpon : ) hes the biggest in my tank and yet, still a wimp xD

I'd leave oscars on there, they much more peaceful than not. I'd include chocolate cichlids and severums to that list too, although 12" is the higher end of their potential sizes

my delhezi bichir....i no its not monster but hes the biggest wimp i got...he allowed my 3" FH to beat it up pretty badly.
and my 14" Fronts when they were alive were THE wimpiest fish ever!!!! they were an embarrasment to the frontosa race!!!

forgot to add earlier, that some piscivores. like baysnook and frontosa fit in this list too...especially the frontosa, which are normally very placid

Oscar are not a threat they are greedy. the down side to owning a oscar is its mouth it so big it like an aquatic vac. in most cases oscar are big enough others will just pass by not lets it territorial thing, and then the oscar may ormay not come out on top depending on the other fish.
