Hey all I recently bought 8 1 inch geophagus peach head tapajos 2 babies and was wondering what is the best food for them for growth and color. Also how often too feed. Thanks in advance

At that size your best bet would be flakes.. Then when they hit 4-5" you can feed some sinking NLS or Hikari..

I disagree. I feed 1/2" fish pellets... NLS makes them down all the way to .5mm which is like a grain of sand.

But yes, I would feed a high quality pellet 2-3 times a day with lots of water changes.

I never new they made them that small, unfourtunately wedon't have the widest selection of NLS down here..

I too start my Geos on pellets when they are 0.5-0.75". Big pellets will disintegrate quickly in water so the fish have no problem. Also, you know you can actually crush the pellets.

I use HBH foods. I would also try and feed them 3 time a day.
