I'm thinking of setting up a 75 gallon tank with a few Peacock Bass in it. what's a good number to get? I was thinking maybe 3...does anybody have any tips, experience, etc??

thanks in advance

I dont have any Cichla experience.....I do know that a 75g is way too small for even one Peacock.....Good to grow them out for a year perhaps...

A 75 is not suitable for any Peacock Bass species for the long term. My advice is to not get any, unless you plan to just use the 75 for a growout and then move the Bass into a much larger tank. A 180 is ok for a long while for some of the smaller species such as Orinos and Kelberi. Most people on here will tell you to get a tank that is at least 6 feet long (8 feet would be better) and 2.5 feet wide if you want to house Peacock Bass.

Yeah I think I have to cancel that plan lol I'm trying to find an aggressive shoal that I can max out in a 75 tank for right now, any suggestions?? I had 3 RBP's, and didn't enjoy them...

50 exodons

They get to about 4", sometimes 6". They're basically miniature piranha, though, so if you didn't like piranha, you might not like them either.
