so maybe instead of 2 inch clowloaches ill buy 4 inch clown loaches .. a get smallest pbass possbile liek 1.5 inch 2 inch... ill have alot of hiding places also for the CL .. i figure it they grow up together an are fed right that might be ok?JML is right. The bass will be big enough to eat loaches that were babies at the same time as the bass within the year.

The mass between a 2 inch clown loach and a 4 inch clown loach is quite a bit. Thats obviously a good thing. Go as big as you possibly can to be safe. Id safe fiver inchers and you should be fine for a good amount of time. I remember one guy selling off a whole school of clown loaches that were all about 6 inches because his bass were eyein them. The growth rate that I have had from my clown loaches that were already 5-6 inches was about an inch and a half a year. I have grown a bass about 13-15 inches a year. Just food for thought when you decide how big of a loach you get.
