It all depends on the Midas personality. I had a RD/Midas in my 700gal pond, and it killed a Lima shovel nose (18'') and a FH (10'') and almost killed 2x RTC (20''). The RD/Midas was 12''. So, IME, No it won't work.
i wouldnt do it i had a 9in midas and it killed my 10in flowerhorn, 18in tiger shovelnose, 11in oscar and my 7in green terror
well, ime theres a turning point for 'em.
mine was always a pussy, then one day he killed my venn. pike. pike was 15" and he was 6"......

midas are aggressive *******s.. i've seen one killed a common pleco at 12" midas was 8"

so no one thinks that a 8" orino can go with a 5" midas? that disappoints me but of course ill take the advice.
