Hi Mark,

I recently got back into Bass keeping after a 2 year break from them.
What I did when I got mine to breed was to have a slightly acidic /Soft water conditions I only ran T8 lighting as T5 were to strong
I changed 30% of the water every week without fail this included gravel vac as well.
I had enormous amounts of filtration but never chemical.
My tank was a 10 x 3 x 2 and the sump was 5 x2 x 2 I also ran a FX5
I mixed up their diet with pellets, prawns and white bait.

I hope this may help
Good luck with your endeavour
