Hey everyone, my cousins peacock bass just laid tons of eggs and he said he doesnt want it and was plannning on just throwing them away! And i say what!!!? Why would you throw away those eggs!

He said he doesnt have the money to support them... So i say give it to me. So im planning on taking his peacock bass eggs. But i have no idea how keep them aive.

So i really need some help here guys/girls/anyone! Ive never tried to keep fish eggs alive. This will be my first time. So im going to need some advice and help! Plus i am a total newb! So if anyone can help me i would really apperciate it!

Do i have to keep the water in some kind of temp? Or a tank size? does that matter?

Thank You.

if the eggs are white or have fungus on them there no good, stick them in a ten gallon with a temp of at least 84, put a airstone by the eggs, just enough aeration to keep a small current by the eggs, use a sponge filter when there free swimming, i use aquarium salt but there other meds to keep the fungus off the eggs, but you need to add something, assuming that goes well, start up a bbs hatchery and make sure you have a good supply, feed them a few times a day, its common sense from there, good luck

i left a link to a log in another pbass spawn thread in the breeding forum, its very useful
