My Peacock Bass has a problem. His upper lip is pulled back or maybe a layer of flesh is gone?!? There is a thinner layer of flesh showing where it is pulled back. He only eats dry food so don’t think it is feeding problem. He has been this way for 2 days. Any thoughts? See picks below. He can still eat and close his mouth but it looks very worrisome. 2D449E24-6A14-4C97-8AC2-E6A8E70AC723.jpeg 62D891CD-4107-4E07-9DE6-922AB40A1A59.jpeg

Looks like duck lips vs dislocation. duanes duanes can help as he’s seen more of it.

That's a bone misalignment.I've seen a few brave people take a fish and gently massage the jaws back into place.

If you catch the fish, and can massage the upper jaw back into place, and it moves with pressure, it could be simply dislocated.
If it seems frozen, impossible to move, this may indicate the atrophy of duck lips (columnaris).
What is the temp of the water in the tank?
82'F and above are prime duck lips temps.
Does the bass just kind of hover in one spot?
Has it eaten or not in those 2 days?
Both signs of columnaris.
