you all are the experts of fish keeping and i want to have a new peacock bass setup what size tank, what decorations, what equipment, what species of peacock bass should i get (dont worry im not getting the 20 pound cichlids temines or however its spelled) an hey also put pics of your setups and fish. btw i know alot about the peacock bass and keeping it but i have found varied information and you all are more of experts on keeping these then informative websites i couldnt get a hold of dieselmack so everyone else pls help i want to know everything about it.

plenty of factors come into mind.. firstly how many bass you want to keep? do you want to have tankmates with the bass?
with bass bigger is always better, especially with the filtration.. so for a couple of lone cichla (monos) you could get away with a 6x2x2 with a sump filtration.. however id always go for extra width.
Pics of my setup are in my album...
why dont you give us an idea of how you want your setup looking and we can start helping..

ok i would have either one peacock and two oscar or one peacock and an arowana i want cover for the peacocks due to their ambush style of getting prey and a gravel bottom.

depending on the type of arowana you might need a BIG tank. if you want a silver, something with a footprint of 8x3 would be ideal. decor is entirely up to you, whatever you like but most guys use a lot of driftwood
