He had a huge meal of talapia last night, he does not still have food in his mouth. He is not fighting with any other fish, it looks like he yawned and its stuck... any guidance?

I had this happen to large goldfish some years ago. I took her out of the water and pressed my thumb on the bottom of the lower jaw. This fixed the gaped open mouth for her, but I would see if any one else has had this issue befor. I am sure some has and can tell you more about than I can

I'd try to gently push it closed and see what happens. But that's just me :)

Don't try to close it! Than you will break something.
Its dislocated in some kind of way. Grab him, put his mouth in the beam of a tap. So it will open more and than go back in the right way. I hope you understand in my crappy English lol

My bro had the same problem with an European Perch. I'll ask him again to make sure, but I think 'the above' is what he did.

If you do this I would not use the kitten sink, but rather a power head. Just a thought

Hey here's an idea, let's pump this guy gills full of chlorine/chloramine to fix his stuck jaw lol

feed him again, and when he tries to feed it will pop back in. if not it will not harm him because he wont be able to grab the feeder. I've don this with a large mouth.

i would try feeding him again if not, pull it more open gently though and see if itll slide back into place
