Hello,
I just got 2 new peacock bass and introduced them to my tank with a 20" silver arowana one week ago and they haven't eaten since then.. They don't seem to be spoked by my aro because they swim around him but when I come by the tank they hide in drift wood.. The previous owner used to feed pellets and shrimp. I tried them both.. Should I be worried?

you sure they dont eat when you arent watching? I have a 25" clown knife i never see eat but ive had him for 7 months and hes still alive so i have to assume he eats after i leave

Yeah I'm thinking still not used to their surroundings.. I hope so?? I do leave pellets over night and they still don't touch it.. Also found out that the previous owner used to target feed. That's probably part of the problem too. Who's has time to target feed?? Haha I'm not going to get into that! Im just a little worried...heard fish could go without food for 10 days or so?? I'm coming up on 10 days. We'll see??Thanks guys!

My tank is 125 gallons, temp is 84 degrees, one is 12" and other is 5". It's been 9 days of no eating! Been trying feed them arowana pellets and shrimp. Even tried target feeding with shrimp. Every time I try they just hide but I can tell they're hungry.. Should I try live?? Or maybe bloodworms etc?? I don't really want go live since the reason why I bought them was they were trained to eat pellets. Unless the previous owner was lying? What should I do? Thanks!

12"er is ok for quite some time, the 5"er not so much. Can you move the 5" then feed live. A pic of the tank might help...

Ok thats what do... I'll move both of them to another tank till they get healthy again. Then i'll try to train them to eat pellets later.. I guess its more important that i get them healthy since i did spend $150them. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Here's the pics! 1st pic: 5" bass. Do you know what kind of bass this is? Barely has stripes it's golden?? I was told its rare?? 2nd pic: 12" bass thanks for advice!
