Are peacock bass's easy to get onto pellets?

What food should i feed them when they are 1 inch?

when can i convert them to pellets?

what kind of pellets do they eat?

how fast do they grow?

can i keep more than one peacock bass in one tank?

can i keep a pleco in the tank?

can i keep clown loaches?

can i keep an elephant nose or a BGK in the tank?

How do you transfer them to other tanks when they get big?

Some are easy some are not to get on pellet. At one inch i have found it easier to feed live black worm and live brine shrimp.Dont give to much brine though its like given then CRACK!! HAHA they love it.As far as what size to convert you will deffinatly find varied opinions.Ithink start trying to convertas small as possable with dithers present makes it much easier i did not think so now i do! cichled gold or really any hikari pellet the formulas are very close! If you just want a pleco just make sure he is always to big to fit in there mouth. And really that goes with any fish.No you should not when bigger on the loaches and elphant nose just my opinion the will be dinner some night!!AS far as hoe many bass as many as you can purchase.Just make sure you have plans for a big tank and some fun:D

IME, Kelberi's are hard to convert.

Blood worms. But since you live in hawaii, go to the local stream, throw a piece of bread in the water, scoop out some baby sword tails, QT them for a couple weeks and feed them to your bass.

when can i convert them to pellets?
As soon as possible. But, I like to convert them at the 6'' mark.

what kind of pellets do they eat?
Hikari Gold is good, but I like the Massovorse.

how fast do they grow?
Depends on what cichla you get.

can i keep more than one peacock bass in one tank?
Hell YA......

can i keep a pleco in the tank?
You sure can, but make sure the pleco is bigger or equal size to the bass.

can i keep clown loaches?
You can....But have a spare tank Just in case.

can i keep an elephant nose or a BGK in the tank?
Yep...

How do you transfer them to other tanks when they get big?
A bigger net.

thanks, and how fast does the ocellaris grow?

and so i just wait till there bigger like maybe 4 inches then starting feeding hikari sticks or chichlid gold?

and bloodworms are ok till they are bigger to convert?

Mine likes to FD jumbo shrimp and they can grow 1-2 inches a month

Expect between 12'' to 14'' in the first year, and growth will slow down after that, between 1'' to 2'' every month or two.

If you can convert to other then pellets sooner, fine. I would go with chopped shrimp at a small age. But, blood worms for instant gratification.

Blood worms are fine, but as stated above, try shrimp as well.

are they an active fish?
Yes, if you have a group of them. Really bland, IMO, if you keep just one.

would 5 be good together?
