My 3.5 inch pb with aro who wasn't eating, I gave a few guppies to him, he went ham.... After 4 days of starving...... So the next day as soon as I dropped the hikari carni sticks, he smacked it... Ate as soon as they touched water.... He's been eating like that since then... But the problem is that when he is at a distance and sees the pellets, he has no interest in them.... He never eats them after seeing.... He eats pellets first as soon as they hit the water without realising that they were pellets.... He never realised that he eats pellets and once he sees it, he doesn't want to eat em.... How do I fight this problem.... P. S. The tinfoil that I introduced as teacher fish were instigating him but they did more to the aro and he ate them

Now that he eats them just ride out the starving, could try various types of pellets as well to see what he likes best, also adding a couple more tinfoils might help him or her become less picky seeing them aggressively eat the pellets as a group.

The prob is whatever he leaves the aro would eat and I don't want him overfeed and to eat foods other than hikari carni sticks... And regards tinfoils, my mom after seeing them eaten alive in front of her eyes wouldn't allow me to keep em any more.... ??... Any other ideas....

Are you tossing all the pellets in at the same time or one at a time?

I do both sometimes this sometimes that.... But if I'm not there tomorrow then how would that thing survive...
even at this size they can go weeks without eating although not recommended, I wouldn’t be worried if he doesn’t eat for a couple days during this process.
