Peacock Bass Question

I have a 4-5" P. Bass and he seems to not be growing. I can only get him to eat nightcrawlers and feeders. It is just more work to keep a feeder tank and I was looking for a cheaper alternative. Any suggestions on what to feed him so he grows?

mine is about 4". fed him feeders one time. he eats shrimp and tilapia. growing really fast.

There is actually an extensive thread on MFK right now regarding the feeding of live foods to Cichla that you might want to check out. The consensus seems to be that live feeders are best until a given size and that growth will be much greater with live feeders. Check it out.

maybe he has bad genes?
whats the water params?
