Looking to acquire a shoal of peacock bass between 13-16". Looking for feedback on what you guys think about them mixing with 3-4 black stingrays, a platinum etc, a 14" ST a shoals of 6-7" black barred silver dollar and a 17" Sr arowana?
Depending on witch type you are looking for i would not go more than 5 to 6 cichla you were asking about getting cichla already 13- to 16 inches right? They create a tremendous amount of poop and eat a whole lot also creating a maintinace issue for sure .Your rays and the cichla need very clean water to look there best.Twice a week water changes would be a must....
Yeah, would look at about those quantities. I already do 2 water change of approx 40% per week and that's with a 100gal sump. Thanks for the info. I had azuls before but not this size and know about the amount of food these guys eats, = a lot.
Personally, I prefer species only tanks that contain fish sensitive to water quality. Cichla from crowded community tanks often have problems with HITH, and other ailments. It's much easier to maintain the water quality in a less crowded species tank IMO.
