HEY fellow MFKers! I decided to add three 3" rainbow pbass to my arowana tank, because they are oh so beautiful. I'm completely new to this, and I heard that they can eat same foods as aros: in my case that would be hikari food sticks / hikari freeze dried krill.
Unfortunately, my LFS only fed em live foods...
I read the sticky thread about converting using that feeder / krill process... but that won't work for me...
I absolutely refuse to let my silver arowanas take in any live feeder fish (it took me a bit to get it on sticks, but I know from experimentation itll still go after live foods).

To the point: will starving my pbass into taking the sticks / krill be too risky? or will they get the idea and eventually eat it?

Try 2 different types of floating good. One is Hikari food sticks, the one with a picture of a silver arowana on it. Second is freezed dried shrimp. It is smaller than freezed dried krill so your smaller bass will be more comfortable with it. Sooner or later they will hit those foods on the surface.
