Peacock bass Vs Dovii

Ok so Im rasing fish to go with my gar... and there the same size. I wake up this morning and the peacock is dead. I would think the peacock would run the show over him.. And i cant tell if the dovii is a girl or boy yet.. so whats other fish can go with a gar.. thats big enough im about to just release the dovii with the gar see if hes tough enough he has hiding places and stuff and if he kills my fav Pbass. EDIT TERRIBLE spelling, grammer because im livid.

How big is the gar? What size tank are they in?

I never put pbass in the same pic as a cichlid such as a dovii.

Their not much of a fighter rather then a big eater. Where the Dovii is built to attack.

Seriously, give us more info man! I wouldn't be surprised if a gar killed a pbass.

75g atm just the gar and a JD but gonna make it wayyy bigger..

40g dovii and now dead pbass. same size around 3 inches. each

Please tell me you really didn't put a 3" pbass with a 3" Dovii that is guaranteed to kill any pbass at 3" Have you read anything about either fish?? Pbass might as well be guppies at that age

yep my loss the guy at the store said they should be fine lolz I need to just stick with one LFS the guy at petland seems too know the most..

lol seriosly. And I hope you really do get a bigger tank. So, your gar and jd are the same size as the dovii??? If so, your jd is probably gone.

My gar 16" at the time i added my Peas.. Was trying to eat them til they were 6+INCHES....

No, the Pbass and the Dovii where in a 40g Bowfront..... they where 3 inches each thats a big tank for two 3 inch fish..


MY gar and a JD are in the same 75 gallon tank... they get along fine.. hes about 10 inches and shes around 6
