OOPS! SORRY WRONG FORUM! DIDN'T SEE THE PEACOCK BASS FORUM! SORRY MODS CAN YOU MOVE THIS! THANKS!

Hi! I'm a proud owner of a new peacock bass, currently a baby at around 1 inch, and I was wondering what I should feed him as a juvenile? My LFS told me he's crazy fer brine shrimp, but they cost abit over here, so I was wondering, flakes will do them fine? Or pellets? Tiny chuckes of fish or prawns or something? Please help 'cause I don't want this lil' dude to starve!

Also, is he gonna be alright with tankmates such as gold gouramis and a 6-7" Black Ghost knife?

Feed what the lfs was feeding:) add some variety if you can get them to take it :) Bloodworms...Krill...

If you are like me.. You like the expensive route :) Nightcrawlers and feeders as well as the cheaper route :) Brine shrimp and blood worms..

Most people try to get theirs to take non live :) if yours are already there it would be a good idea to keep it that way for a while so they are used to non live food :)

At that size the only thing I could get mine to eat were live ghost shrimp and frozen mysis.
