I tried to import peacock bass for Brazil & Columbia. Both state there is a ban on exprort?

although i recall for the last couple of months that s.a. has stopped exporting many rare fish like plecos,etc...they have recently just started to export fish that they have not allowed in the last couple of months.does anyone know why many suppliers in s.a. temporarily stopped shipping out lots of rare stuff for us in the states only?

For the P.Bass, both brazil & columbia stated 2 reasons
#1, food source
#2.. tourism..game fishing

For your other question, many companies will not ship to the U.S due to the weak U.S currency

Maybe it is the species you are trying to import. My supplier just imported another 500 from S.A with no problems.

It may also be the Quantity you are asking for.
