I went into my local pet store and they have peacock bass. I want a peacock bass but when I asked the kind of peacock bass. He said they are peacock bass like there is only one kind of peacock. What kind do you speculate? The price of 15 dollars in combination with the pet store not getting super rare anything I suspect them to be the most common.... what is the most common? Thanks

Whatever the exact variety (there's little difference), they're going to get big. As in, over 2 feet long. Also, they have huge mouths and will probably swallow anything you try to keep with them.

Peacock bass at $15 doller is good price in eneyones book ! eaven if the more common Monoculus or Ocellaris! may turn out to be a little Gem 
They do better in a group as can be shy and stressed easy! and hard to feed on dry foods when young!

There's a big difference. Go do some research and tell me they're pretty much all the same. I have links to credible websites if you need them to brush up on your facts.
Yup farmed hybrids, I had some for a while, all peacock bass are awesome looking fish, for that price cant go wrong either
