Hello everyone hope everyone is and has a happy Easter just a quick question I have two peacock bass they eat like monsters no issues just wondering why my bigger bass his jaw is growing weird compared to my there one its more filled in to were this guy's looks mangled he has a massive mouth I've seen him open it fully multiple times just seems thats he's struggling and he breaths heavier then the other any ideas are welcome and helpful hope everyone stays healthy and blessed 20210404_190114.jpg

Maybe a dislocated jaw. Net the fish out and apply some pressure and see if it can be set back. If it can’t be pushed back and cannot feed then I’d suggest a vet or euthanize. Sad to say it that way.

Hes grow into this way hes never turned down food I've tried to have some type of vet take a look but none will

Droptopwop Droptopwop I think its a deformity not a dislocation then. if it continues to eat and grow then I would not euthanize it. Just keepan eye out and make sure it is not suffering. Other than the jaw its a beautifully bass! so is the other one. Do you know what species it is?

Over the course of his life I've had them since babes and his jaw has always been different just never understood why
Maybe just poor genetics since pbass are captive bred. Best of luck with it.
