I found the most gorgeous male peacock cichlid over on aquabid, and I want to know if he would be compatible with my current stock? The cichlid in question is 5" long

Current stock:
1 - 8" fire eel
3 - 3" fw angels
2 - 3" crayfish
4 - 1" serpae tetras
2 - 3" blue gouramis
1 - 4" chocolate pleco

Tank is currently a 55gal, which I will hopefully soon be upgrading to a 120.

I would say not very likely. It's possible if that particular peacock has a mellow personality,or he loses aggression because there is no threat or competition to him.I could be wrong though as I have never tried this combo.

He would be the only cichlid in there and none of my fish show any aggressive behavior and the crayfish tend to keep to themselves, which is why I ask. There are plenty of hiding places too.

No. He will probably kill the tetras, harass the angels, harass the gourami, not to mention the crays might get him at night, or the cichlid will eat the crays when they molt.
