Peacock cichlid hiding.

I've got one doing the same thing, my Lemon Jake, he's hiding up behind the circulation pump and spraybar... Was watching today, and my Venustus and Dragon's Blood are picking at him a bit. So possibly an aggression issue? My Venustus is growing faster than any of my other cichlids, and the Dragon's Blood isn't far behind him, the Lemon Jake is 3rd, so a dominance thing perhaps? Watch them and see if you can spot anything like that maybe.

I'm new at this, but that's what I'm observing in my tank. Thought you might be having a similar issue.

Funny my jack is the most active in the tank. He will lounge at other males in tank but that is it. He seems to leave the females alone and ignore the catfish. try subdued lighting. No fish really like the light anyway.

Do you only have one of those peacocks or more than one of the same,, if so it could be taking steps to breeding.... but i know a lot of different fish don't like bright tanks,, has the temp changed at all?...is it being chased ever? fish do change behavior at times, check the water chemistry, but i wouldn't worry about it,
