is it alright for me to breed/keep peacock cichlids in a 45 gallon tank or do I need bigger and with this tank it came with a dock that I don't want. It was my sisters tank and I don't have any money to buy another tank so is it ok for my to remove the dock??

if any one can help me out please do so

In a 45g(really depends on dimension not actual gallonage), you could house a male and 3 or 4 females. A larger tank would be better but give them plenty of hiding spots(rocks/wood) and you should be ok....

Thanks Wailua Boy dimensions is 92cm x 36cm im from Australia so I do it in centre metres

I would purchase 6(at about 2-3in).Let a harem form and eventually keep 3-4, give away or sell the rest. You could also try all females but mixing males is more of a gamble in a smaller tank.

Be sure and post vids! Sounds awesome.
