What degree of conspecific appearance are peacocks aggressive to one another? Does this tendency just exist for extremely identical species like baenschi and maleri, for instance? Or could it extend to aggression between species like ngara flametails and hansbaenschi blue regals, that are much less similar in appearence, but still have features like a predominantly blue body?

I would say, similiar colorings on different species would tend to be more aggressive towards one another. That is unless you have multiples of the same species.
Like a Blue Regal or Lwanda and a Ahli could cause confrontation because of similiar colorings.
But I have an otter point jake and ahli and they are barely aggressive towards one another.

What types wee you looking at?

Currently, I have an albino eureka red, standard red, and Ngara flametail. I was interested in a blue regal, and if any freed up at the next CCA meet, a lwanda red-top. Overall though, I've been playing with the idea of adding more, but didn't want to disrupt the balance in the tank now. I was also curious if a standard sunshine-type peacock would be likely to pick on my flametail (due to them both having yellow)?
