Recently I start a Beautiful Peacock only tank!
At least what I thought would be a Peacock only tank.....
That changed really quick when I saw this Mbuna, of course I said just 1....
Well it didn't stop there I went on to add a 2nd Mbuna and a Kennyi.....
I have all females and then all my Peacocks are male except 2........ I plan to switch the females..
but definitely keeping the 3 different ones and I have provided them with caves everything they need..
My main question is since I have so many male Peacocks breed with the female Mbuna???
thank you very much

Most likely they will not be able to breed together. They are too genetically separated and have very different breeding strategies.

I've heard that virtually all mouthbreeding cichlids from Malawi will crossbreed and produce fertile offspring. Some of the most popular peacock color varieties most likely came from crosses with Pseudotropheus: albino, OB, and dragonblood/strawberry.
