So my peacock eel has a few white spots on it, and im wondering if it is ich or maybe just some scratches from grazing around in the sand and decorations. I haven't added anything new to the tank since hes been in for at least over a month. He seems to be doing great, eating live earthworms immediately when put in the tank. It almost looks like if he were to have scales, a few r missing. Almost like part of his skin maybe a millimeter wide and long is turned white. Any advice? Can aquarium salt help?

now when looking at him again, i do see a few tiny white spots also, cant tell if its sand or ich, since my fish have never had it, but i dont think its sand. What should i do to prevent it if it is ICH?
