Peacock Eel Questions

Hello - this is my first post. have recently added a peacock eel to one of my tanks and was initially told that they were peaceful and didn't grow too big. However, I went to a different shop today and was told they can get to 5 feet! Mine is currently about 5 inches.

Peacock Eels are part of the Spiney Eel family where Eels such as Fire Eels and Tire Track Eels are related. Those guys get 3' but a Peacock Eel will get about 1' give or take.

Not to worrie they are peacful a peacock spiny eel will get 12'' max more like 10'' i've heard they can get bigger but i haven't seem much proof

No spiny eel that i'm awear of will get 5'

It definatley wont get 5', 12" if your really lucky i see your in the uk whats the name of the shop that told you this?

lets just hope that you got sold an actual peacock instead of a tiretrack. some times they get confused for each other when they are really small
