Hey guys i just got a peacock eel today (4 inches) super healthy.. The problem is my tank is sand and i dont think he can burry in sand.. Will he be okay in sand? He seems super happy feeding great and not shy at all. If i add a lot of caves and hides will be be okay?

Why don't you think he can bury in sand? It's what your meant to keep them in as gravel can damage them when they burry in it. And pics

He can most definitely will burry in sand but just will not choose to because he's friendly

Wow yeah he does not burry in the sand at all lol he I always out swimming around.. Is this good? I will get some pics soon

Peacock eels like to have at least three of their own kind. They love the sand and will come out of it for feeding every other day. Sand is perfect for them.
