I have 1 75g that i want to put my peacock eel in but i was curious if i could get more. Are they aggressive towards other peacock eels like fire/tire tracks are?

You can try adding more peacocks or a zig zag... but I wouldn't add a TT or Fire. they will quickly out-grow and bully your peacock as well as outgrow the 75 within' the first year in all likelyhood. and yes they are aggressive towards con-specifics... but imo 3 peacocks in a 75 should be fine, making provisions for more then a few hideing spots so each can "claim" a sleeping area. Odd numbers ime work best ( from my experiance w/ my fire eels)

my friends work has had a 10" tire track with a 5" peacock for 3 weeks now and there is no problems...i am not recomending the op try it, but they can be mixed...i have been thinking of getting it(since i lost my little TT) and the 10" fire they have and mixing them and adding my little fire later along with a few more...it will be in a much larger tank...i think it will be like cichlids...give them lots of friend to fight with and lots of hiding spots or lots of friends and no hiding spots to fight over...

I agree.. they are very much like Cichlids in respects to territories ect. the problem lies in long-term housing. Max sizes are very different.. why mixing the 2 largest species w/ one of the smallest species is more of a make-up for disaster. I would also reccomend adding 2 new ones at the same time, and shuffling around the current decor when you do, or waiting and adding all 3 at once. Just as you would for Cichlids. I've had alot of luck with this method. and when my guys get overly aggressive I will switch things around to keep their focus on something else for awhile. My first fire eel killed it's "buddy".. so I went back and got 2 more and added them. The current fire had a hard time then singling out either of the new fish to focus it's aggression on and this has been working well w/ everyone for going on a year very soon. The only other problem lies w/ these fish tending to succumb to stress fairly readily. I'de be very hesitant to take away hiding spots, as this will increase stress levels and open the fish up to bacterial infections ect. a few small PVC pipes work very well for the species I've kept, make cleaning easy, and allowing fairly easy viewing to make sure no ones overly hurt or aggitated.

i dislike the look of pvc in the tanks...it is functional, but looks tacky imo...i like to do rock plies and scattered rocks as cover...then the hide in the open can lose the attacker (as they don't know to swim up for an arial veiw to attack) and some sparce plants...no caves to fight over, but they have cover to prevent stress...i may put them with the peacock till i can add them all to the big tank...they will be with a SAL and lots of bichirs aswell...in the long run the smaller eel would get killed or eatten...thats why i say temp housing...and didn't recomend it to the op...

peacocks and zig zags could be mixed and i may just have to buy that peacock they have with the TT aswell to go with my current peacock...i just can't find any zig zags around me right now or i would add some of them aswell...

There is no way i am gonna mix species. The 75g is not done as i need rocks. But i will wait to transfer my peacock over so i can fond more and add more. Thanks guys.

no problem...you could do the zig zag and peacock combo with no problem, just stay away from the larger sp.
