I bought a fish at my LFS that looked just like a Peacock Gudgeon, but was labeled 'Jade Goby'. He's only just over two inches and the more I search for info on him, the more unsure I am about which he is. The closest match I've found so far is the "Sleeper Goby" halfway down this ( http://images.google.com/imgres?img...firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=G ) page. But Sleeper Goby gets me nowhere. I'm wondering about the max size on this guy. I bought him to keep my guppy population down, having read he would top off at three inches or so. Can anyone do a quick side-by-side for me on these two fish? I swear it looks like somebody hybridized the two and I've got the product.

Hmm It will get to about 8 inch/20cm I THINK i am not 100% sure.I have a pair of peacock gobies that are veryt small but they so look a tad like jade gobies.

Yeah, that's my confusion, too. I guess I'll feed him well and roll with it!

I found him! He's Mogurnda Mogurnda, and perfect for controlling my guppy population!

Yeah! It's like somebody took a killifish and made it awesome!

Well, what is it then? It doesn't fit anywhere else.

its a perch-like fish. it has a spiny first dorsal and a soft second. characins have a soft first dorsal and an adipose. this should be in general aquaria or other monster fish
