So i just bought a peacock from my lfs. Hes small maybe 1.5 inches. Got him beginning of this week. He hasnt eaten anything ive tried feeding him. Freeze dried plankton, flakes, cichlid pellets, he stsrts to go after the sonking shrimp pellets but still doesnt bite. It seems like it really wants to eat , just not what im giving him. Any suggestions?

Just wait, new fish sometime won't eat right away. when he's hungry enough he will. GL!

also, try fresh tilapia and shrimp because all but the plankton are all dry foods.(Could be picky)

They told me freeze dried shrimp or bloods. I thought j had shrimp but it was plankton. Imma go today or tomorrow and get something. I prefer not to have like frozen or live food, due to limited space. But i will try to get some. Thanks!!!

Sounds good! you've just gotta find what he'll take you know?

Edit: if you try frozen feeders or smelt or something stuff them with pellets so he can the nutrition he needs

If its a baby and you only have one it may also be having a tougher time settling in. It probably feels exposed and doesnt want to let its guard down. If you have the room for them Id say get at least two more to school up
