Hello everyone. For a while i have been think of doing a outside pond for cichlids. But i live in New Jersey where temps can hit 25 degrees in the winter and sometimes lower. But i really would like to do some peacock bass in a 625 gallon stock tank. So i was wondering is this possible with the right heating and filtering. And if so can anyone please help. THANK YOU

Not worth trying with the way weather is in the northeast imo...Plus even if you have heaters in the tank it would probably be on all the time. Your electric bill would be crazy but hey if you got the money to do it give it a try and let us know how you make out.

If you have a similar sized indoor tank for them then it could work, that way at the end of the summer you could relocate them.I think that the suns rays as opposed to artificial lights would really help them with color and size but if you cant bring them back inside dont bother.
