Oh so im going to be a proud father soon. The female has been holding for about a week now.

Since i value everyone heres knowledge, i have a few questions..

My question now is what to do with her. I have a breeding cage/net/box that hangs on the side of the tank in water. She is currently in this because i didnt know what to do and i dont want the males bugging her.

Should i leave her in this or put here back in the larger part of the tank to rome for another 2 weeks and then strip her and leave just the fry in the "basket" I have another tank that she can go in after to recoup and feed with some small non agressive fish but i couldnt have her spit in that tank as the fry would probably get eatin.

What should i do moving forward?

heres what I do:

I leave the female in the same tank, as long as you have at least a 2 females (more is better) the male shouldn't bother her to much mine never do. After two week or more the eggs have hatched in her mouth and I strip her and throw her back in the breeder tank. I take the fry and put them in a grow out tank and feed them crushed flakes or pellets to nibble on. I have been doing it like this for a couple years now and seem to work great.

Im not sure what type of peacocks to be honest with you. Here is a pic of the female and the male. I think they are jsut OB.
